Sgt. Steve Perez, 60, had worked 34 years with the department. A traffic officer, who risked his life to help members of his own community sadly died in Houston flood water on Sunday 27th August 2017.

Having been touched by the previous generosity of others, far and wide, following the death of our own PC Bill Barker in the Cumbria floods of 2009, I feel that it is only right we pay that generosity forward and do our best to support the family of Sgt Perez.
