Story
I am doing a sponsored slim to help raise awareness of Chronic Kidney Disease and Organ Donation whilst raising money to provide a holiday home for patients undergoing long term treatments.
I was born with 1 kidney and had chronic kidney disease since it was diagnosed at age 12.
I started dialysis at only 6% kidney function which was scary and I wondered what the future held. I found treatment difficult and it impacted everything in my life and had adverse effects on family life due to restrictions imposed but mainly because of the chronic fatigue syndrome and other health issuesOn November 22nd 2016 I was lucky enough to receive a kidney transplant and will always be in the debt of the family that agreed to donate the gift of life. (I found out later that this gentleman actually donated and saved the lives of 5 people which I am sure you will agree is amazing.)I want to do a.sponsored slim to help with my.motivation but mainly because I have gained a phenomenal 32Kg since transplant and.want to raise awareness about kidney disease whilst helping other patients/families go on holiday whilst undergoing treatment which is hard when on treatment.

Every penny.counts and yoir.generosity is greatly appreciated.
