Story

On Saturday 7th October 2017 our staff here at Little Rascals Nursery will be taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in the hope of raising enough money to fund an onsite defibrillator. The challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough located in the Yorkshire Dales. The route is 24 miles long and includes 5,200ft of ascent. All of the money raised from the sponsored challenge will provide cover for the cost of a defibrillator which stands at £1000. In the unlikely event of an emergency a defibrillator can be the difference between life and death. Whilst currently it is not a legal requirement to have a defibrillator in the work place, I'm sure you will agree that the benefits of having one on site can be huge. With every minute of delay after the onset of Sudden Cardiac Arrest to defibrillation, the chances of survival diminish by 10%. After 10 minutes the chances of survival are almost zero. Having already raised £300 through various fundraising events we still have a whopping £700 to go. Any sponsor contributions big or small that could help us to reach our target would be more than appreciated. Many thanks from all the staff at Little Rascals Nursery, Preston.
