My name is Stephanie. i'm 48yrs old. I have been told after numerous tests with an audiologist that I need a hearing aid for my left ear. The device is called "Starky 2" this type enables me to hear both inside the home and also outside the home with amplified sound. I have been told this is not available via the NHS upon which I have also checked up on. Having tried the NHS devices, they do not give me the hearing scope that I need.

Its been a terrible past 2 years. I have been medically signed off from work now after a spine problem with dehydration to L4/5 & Puesdojoint formation to the lower back. Osteo arthritis in the left knee. Under-active Thyroid. Asthma & COPD. And now I am currently undergoing tests for cancer. To say my self-confidence and self- belief has taken it's toll is an understatement.

I appreciate there are a lot of causes that require funding, some more urgent than others. I'm asking please, that if any of my friends/associates and others can donate something to help me get back to some form of normality, and to give back to me my confidence of being able to hear people properly.

Having struggled with this problem for a while, to get my next to normal hearing back, would mean more to me than I could possibly say.
