As a parent, I realise just how important it is to select a good school for your child's education.

I am privellaged enough to be able to send my little boy off each morning, up the 'bumpy track' to a wonderful little school of just 87 children - St John's CE Primary, Thornham.
A school that is at the heart of an amazingly strong and supportive community and whose pupils, teachers and parents constantly go above and beyond in order to maintain and improve the facilities.
We have a wonderful PTFA who work tirelessly planning and hosting fundraising events in order to raise money to improve the school and it's resources.

As part of my contribution I will be running the Rochdale Half Marathon (13.1 miles) on Sunday 8th October to raise some cash for this gem of a school.
