Story
The Donkor Tennis and Education Foundation is a non-profit registered charity run by my sister Michelle and her husband Isaac.
The foundation was founded to provide guidance, information, sports training and mentoring to African children and adults.
The current mission of the Donkor Foundation is to build a six-court tennis facility in Ghana to include a classroom, offices and recreational facilities.
The money raised at bootcamp will be used towards digging a borehole at the Donkor Tennis and Education Centre in Accra, Ghana. This is expensive to do up front, but will mean the children will have their own supply of drinking water.
It also reduces the chances of people breaking the current pipe network and stealing water – this happens a lot, due to only half the population being connected to a safe supply. Something we all take for granted. The drilling work is expected to cost between $1,500-$2,000 and I will get pictures of what is happening to share soon
