Dean Ward, known as Wardie by his friends, was the victim of a gruesome knife attack at 01:20 this morning that left him with serious injuries. Wardie is currently in the hospital here at LGI and will be needing long term help and support.

Wardie is through and through one of us here in Leeds. What you may not know is that Wardie is homeless. He went to bed that night on the streets of the city he loves but did not expect that it may cost him his life. Wardie is well known throughout the area and his compassion is amazing. He has reached out to those hurting here in Leeds with sympathy cards, kind words, and an open heart. Today Wardie really needs our help to make sure he is able to recover, develop, and grow. He will be needing care in the hospital for sometime but we are looking to support that stays and helps him to start again.

The funds will be used to help with any and all recovery needs and any items that will help to make that recovery one that he deserves. But the funds will also be used to help support long term with housing, utilities, furniture and everyday items. The funds will be held by:
