An update on Max.

It's been close to 9 months since his transplant - a long 9 months with it's fair share of ups and downs. Last blood tests show he's in remission. That's unfortunately where the good news ends as it's all been complicated by the Gastrointestinal problem which has caused mayhem. He is slowly regaining weight but it's not been easy. Prognosis is slim to no chance of returning to work in 2017.

As so many have asked me how they can help and also to set this page up again I've run it by Max and he's been blown away by the previous response when just shy of €10k was raised is testimony to generosity of Max's friends and our community and affection we have for one of our own and willingness to show support in any way we can.

Ciao, un aggiornamento su Max. Sono passati nove lunghissimi mesi dal trapianto con tanti alti e bassi. Gli ultimi esami del sangue dimostrano che la sua malattia é in remissione , ma purtroppo sono intercorsi problemi gastrointestinali che persistono. Sta riprendendo lentamente peso ma non è facile. Difficilmente potrà riprendere a lavorare nel 2017.

Come tanti mi hanno chiesto, per poter dargli un aiuto, ho reimpostato questa pagina. Ho chiesto il parere di Max, che è ancora immensamente grato e stupito dal precedente responso quando sono stati raccolti quasi €10k. È la testimonianza della generosità dei suoi amici vicini, lontani e della nostra comunità, l'affetto che abbiamo per uno di nostri e la disponibilità a dimostrare il supporto in qualsiasi modo possibile.
