Story
I served in the British Army for 16 years (Parachute Regiment and Queen Alexander's Royal Army Nursing Corps). In 2022 I received therapy for Complex-PTSD. During my recovery process I was fortunate to receive the support of two sensational organisations; Supporting Wounded Veterans and Adaptive Grand Slam. As an appreciation of the support they have provided me I am running a 62 mile ultra-marathon to raise funds for these organisations so they can continue to provide the amazing support they offer, to others.

1 year agoThe goal was to cover 100 km carrying a 16 kg backpack plus food and water. I was able to complete 66.5 km (41.32 miles) in 21 hours. However, given the heat on Saturday, the weight and the terrain around the Lake District, I'm more than happy with what I achieved. More importantly, I was able to raise just over £2000 for two amazing charitable organisations. Massive thank you to everyone who supported and donated.
