Recently settled into our small village were 19 syrian refugees. These families are the bravest and strongest I have ever had the pleasure of becoming friends with. They are integrating well but as a warm welcome i would like to hold a community event open to all. An evening of traditional Scottish and Syrian music, food and laughter. There will be no entrace fee. Donations only and all the money raised will go direct to RE-ACT, a refugee chairty. I am fundraising to cover costs of hiring a Scottish and Syrian band and food. Any money left over after paying for these will aslo go direct to RE-ACT. These people have been through enough and have had to leave thier family, friends, home and everything close to them behind. Lets help them feel that they are welcome and can make a new life with friends, family and happy memories here in Scotland. Thank you.
