Tabs has sadly lost all her beautiful hair through chemo. She has a tried couple of wig options, but they don't unfortunately really sit quite right, and are also rather uncomfortable for every day use, which was rather upsetting.

And then we read an article in the Guardian(see below) about this amazing 'Hair replacement System' , where they basically create a totally bespoke wig, contoured to your own hairline and head shape, with hair colour(s) matched perfectly using real human hair, and all styled exactly as it was before. Then they stick it gently to your scalp ( just around the edges) and off you go - in the shower, swimming, for a windy walk. This lasts up to 6 weeks , then you go back for a wash and re-stick, as many times as necessary ! Your hair can also grow safely underneath. Once it reaches 5-6 inches, the hair system can be adapted into hair extensions, and used until the hair has grown long again. So it has a wonderfully long use, and will really help Tabs feel back to her old self.

We went up to London to see Jennifer Effie Hair Solutions before Tabs lost her hair, so they could see how it should look. She then lost her hair quite quickly after that, but coped amazingly well with her new look. But she is soooo looking forward to having a lovely head of hair again - and anything we can do to help and accelerate this process - as it will take a long time to grow that long again - we would love to do !

But it is not cheap of course - so any help you would like to give her towards it would be so gratefully received.

Any excess funds will be donated to The Future Fertility Trust - who have removed and frozen an ovary for Tabs, to preserve her fertility from chemo damage.
