Story
Hey everyone - in case you haven’t heard (probably in the form of me complaining about training), I’ve finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and run the Birmingham half marathon in just under a month.
Last year, my grandmother was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma brain tumour. It’s a relentless condition causing huge amounts pain and discomfort. Sadly, within a few months it took her life, but none of us were prepared for how rapidly the disease progresses. I would like to run this half marathon in memory of her, but also to try and raise money for kids who are suffering from the same condition. Unfortunately brain tumours remain the biggest cancer killer of children and young adults in the UK. Levi’s Star is a charity that comes into play by providing such support for children suffering with brain tumours - particularly by helping them get back to school after treatment, supporting families to provide the best care as well as raising awareness about this devastating disease.
I would love to have your support in raising money for this cause - Literally any donation, however small, would be so greatly appreciated and may help others who have gone through the same situation!
Thank you! :) :)
