Story

Thank you to those who have asked about making a donation in memory of our baby boy, Teddy. After a lot of careful thought we have decided to raise money for a special piece of equipment called a cuddle (cool) cot.

We were extremely lucky to spend an invaluable two hours with our son before he passed. Hours we will cherish, always.

Incredibly, our precious time with him was extended with the use of a cuddle cot; a refrigerated crib that cools and preserves, allowing time to introduce baby to siblings, grandparents, friends and family, to acknowledge their birth and spend time with baby as part of the grieving process.

Having experienced first hand just how invaluable these cots are, and knowing that numbers are extremely limited, we would like to raise money to buy another one for Manor Hospital in Walsall, allowing more local families like ours additional, treasured time to say goodbye to their baby.

To put this in perspective, Manor Hospital has two cuddle cots. As well as Teddy, there was another baby who required a cuddle cot that day. If the Neonatal Ward had lost any babies, or another mother had a stillborn baby, there would have been no spare cots. Unthinkable.

We are hoping to raise £3,000 to purchase a cuddle cot. It will be engraved with Teddy’s name so that his memory lives on. Thank you in advance of your kind donations.
