Story
Our thriving local tennis club needs a new court surface. Our current surface is coming to the end of its playable life and we need to resurface the courts to ensure their safety and playability for our club members.
In order to boost our funds 4 of our men's league players are taking on a epic cycling and tennis challenge. On Sunday 26th June they will attempt to bike the entire North West Norfolk league playing a set against each club on route. This will see them cycle from Burnham Market in North Norfolk to Wisbech in Cambridgeshire via Dersingham, Great Massingham, North Runcton, Kings Lynn and Terrington St Clement (of course). The challenge will mean around 60 miles of cycling and 7 sets of tennis, with the aim of completing within 12 hours from 9am to 9pm.
The funds raised will be added to our growing pot, we need around £25-£30,000 in total and we have made a great start on the road towards that target with almost £6000 raised already. Club members have been pulling together to raise the required funds and we hope to hit our target within the next 2 years in order to ensure the future of our thriving little tennis club.
