Story

You might have heard of Models for Heroes if not please take a moment to check out there facebook page. we are lucky enough in this group to have a large number of great people from all walks of life various ages and from all corners of the globe.
As a community of like minded modellers. I'm sure we all know the benefits of what modeling can bring to our lives and how we all use this great hobby to either escape the stress of everyday life or for what ever reason we do it.

Models for Heroes currently supports Help For Heroes , Combat Stress and Scotty's Little Soldiers and several other charities and organisations. We're also supporting other non-military mental health charities. The founder Malcolm Childs along with some precious enthusiastic volunteers, teaches basic model making at the Tedworth and Chavasse House Recovery Centres. Donations we receive will go partly to providing the best materials required for this course and partly to sending kits and materials out to centres that run their own modelling sessions.

Here is where it gets intresting myself James Bamford and Gary Morton from Coastal Kits Display Bases have put together a little bundle to raffle for you wonderfully generous people where one lucky winner that has donated will be chosen at random after the target has been reached. I will be setting up a just giving page very shortly to raise some well needed funds for Models For Heroes I was going to suggest a target of £500 as a starting point. Im sure between all the members we have some 4.8k of us we could scrabble together the target and possibly even more if you are all feeling flush after all it's for a good cause

Here is a little insight as to what your donations could go towards

For just £10 we can purchase an injured ex service personnel or veteran enough.glue, tools and paint to work on and complete a kit and give him/her some precious hours of respite from their struggles. Plus it is great for the hobby. Let's make it greater!
