I am a type 1 diabetic. I am passionate to keep myself healthy and enjoy fitness. Recently my diabetes has made a turn for the worse and my sugar levels are unstable. I am slowly working on regaining control of this with the help of a Freestyle Libre blood sugar monitor. The machine allows me to constantly monitor my sugar levels on a hand held device without regular finger prick tests. Unfortunately, the machine is not currently funded by the NHS and costs £114 per month for disposables. I am more than happy to pay for anything which would improve my health, however, I am unable to afford the running cost of the machine -- this is why I am asking for your help. I am looking to raise money to enable me to continue using this amazing technology over the next year.
