I've raised £500 to help fund the running of Skanda Vale hospice, a voluntary run organisation providing free care for people with life limiting illnesses.

Story

It has been over 20 years since my mum Peggy died of breast cancer and it would have been her 70th birthday this year on June 30th.

To commemorate her life and fight against cancer I will be competing in my first ultra marathon, The West Wales Ultra, which consists of running 40 miles along the Pembrokeshire coastline.

I realise that times are difficult presently, but any donations, no matter how big or small would be gratefully appreciated by the hospice who provide a 24 hour care for up to a week per month for patients. Skanda Vale hospice provides full care and support to those with a life-limiting illness regardless of their beliefs or religion, completely free of charge. My father is a member of the voluntary team and provides complimentary therapies (reflexology and reiki) for patients and their families.
