She spent the first 3 months of her life in hospital without anyone knowing what was wrong she was diagnosed with Noonan syndrome which is a genetic condition that has a wide range of issue like heart and blood problems, learning delay, autism and distinctive facial features, just before her first birthday she underwent open heart surgery and she made a great recovery she was allowed home to be with her 6 sisters, mum & dad they enjoyed Christmas.
On the 19th January her families hearts were broken once more summer was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia since then she has done well with her chemo and fought off so many infections she is went into remission.
Summers cancer has returned she has been given a trial drug from the USA and is having a bone marrow transplant this month. The bone marrow donor is her 11 year old sister chloe who is also amazing.
Now if any family deserve to have something good to happen it's the Thompson's we are hoping to raise enough to send them on a nice day trip somewhere so they can make memories as a complete family once summer is well enough.
