Story
In Kenya, at least 2 000 people die each year from being bitten by Rabid dogs. Once symptoms present, there is no cure and a death from Rabies is among the most horrific. We, with your help, aim to contribute to the worldwide effort to eradicate Rabies. I am one of the trustees for TNR Trust (Kenya) along with Amy Rapp, Carla Viezee and Shels Sharma. We have a donor funded mobile veterinary trailer about to be launched. We urgently need funds to kit it out and to pay for vaccine and veterinary supplies. A consultant vet and two veterinary technicians have already donated their time and expertise and a highly successful re-homing program for stray dogs is already in place.
Our goal is also to control the dog and cat population through our Trap, Neuter, Release program. For as little as GBP 2 you can fund the vaccination of one dog. GBP 40 will spay one female dog.
Please, please help us with this ambitious project.
And if by chance you have access to any new or used veterinary instruments, these would also be enormously helpful to the effort. Please get in touch with us.
