Saf has CHARGE syndrome. Although she can walk, she has low muscle tone and no semi circular canals, meaning balance is a big problem and she fatigues easily (along with breathing and sight issues, she is deaf).

Saf is able to self propel and has to use a chair in school when involved with her mainstream classmates - lunch, assembly etc.

The NHS will provide Saf with a wheelchair and, although we are grateful for that, the chairs available do not offer Saf the independence that a specialist chair will.

The Veldink chairs also takes into account Safs carer in that it’s very light and incredibly easy to steer. There is a specially  designed push  handle which is a back saver !!!
