I am raising money to cover the costs of vets bills at The Racehorse Welfare Centre.
Extraordinarily we have had two horses plus Denman one our mousing twosome (Kauto and Denman) needing the vet in the past few weeks.
First was Rocky, 16.2hh ex racehorse who suffered a facial fracture in the stable. He's still having ongoing Antibiotics to aid his recovery,
Then Dan a 16.2hh chestnut ex racehorse has strained a tendon in the field and lastly Denman the cat, he's only 9 months old he came here 3 months ago with his brother Kauto from Cats Protection as rescued feral kittens to help keep the mice down.
After not coming home for his dinner and breakfast (unusual) we looked for him and found him in the barn hobbling on 3 legs. He has been attacked by animal, possibly a dog, fox or badger.

So far he has had medication, pain relief an X ray and a small operation to clean the infection, he has a dislocated hip and infected bite wounds. The bill so far is tallying up to £300 with another appointment this weekend to come. Plus the vets fees for the horses not included in this amount.

We are currently in the final stages of a long process to obtaining a bank account which has suspended a lot of our fundraising and kind donations by cheques.
