Story

The South East Veterans' TILS are raising money for Service Dogs UK. On behalf of the team, Samantha Lawrence will be climbing Mount Snowdon on the 22nd of August 2020.

Service Dogs UK supports those with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) who have served in the armed forces and emergency services. Help transform both the life of a rescue dog and a veteran from the armed forces or emergency services with PTSD by donating today. The donation will help train and equip a rescue dog to support veterans in distress.

An Assistance Dog is able to perform specific tasks that will make life easier for the veteran, allowing them to regain their independence and confidence. The Assistance Dog also gives non-judgemental friendship, comfort and 24/7 assistance.

Trained Assistance Dogs can do many things such has fetching items as well as more specific tasks for the particular veteran and their PTSD condition. This may include waking someone up during their nightmare, retrieving medication and distracting them when they feel tense.
