Why your donation matters
Footsteps regular Owen in the 'Spider' at Footsteps
Imagine being a child, having the determination and the dream to walk like your friends, but you don't have the physical ability to do it. Imagine being a parent - you desperately want to give your child the best chance in life, but you can't afford it. Your support will enable Footsteps Foundation to give that child the opportunity to maximise his/her abilities and give those parents the financial support they need in order to improve the quality of life for their family. Together we can make that difference. Footsteps Foundation enables children with cerebral palsy to access intensive physiotherapy. Your support will help set these disabled children on their journeys to learn how to sit, crawl, stand and eventually walk like their friends.
Fund a footstep and help begin a journey.
Case study: donations in action
Minty was the inspiration behind the Footsteps Centre. Diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a child, Minty was not expected to ever walk or develop beyond the ability of a four year old. After eight years of therapy at the Footsteps Centre, Minty now walks independently, talks incessantly and is a self-assured nineteen year old woman with a bright future ahead of her. Furthermore, she now has the confidence and independence to integrate within mainstream society. Minty is real-life evidence that there is not only a need for our work but that the Footsteps physiotherapy programme improves quality of life for people like her.
