Why your donation matters
For over 170 years Hospitality Action has offered vital assistance to all who work, or have worked within hospitality in the UK and who find themselves in crisis.
We support people... Suffering from life altering illnesses such as Parkinson’s Disease, cancer and Multiple Sclerosis. Experiencing poverty, bereavement and domestic violence. With sick and disabled children. Of all ages.
All of the money we raise goes towards… Grants for essential items including food, clothing and central heating. Supporting our often isolated and lonely retired hospitality workers. Holding seminars via The Ark Foundation to tackle the excessive effects of drugs and alcohol for Industry students and employees.

Case study: donations in action
After just seven months of marriage Nicki Morgan, a Banqueting and Conferences Manager lost her husband Julian to cancer. A former member of the RAF, Julian’s diagnosis was heartbreaking.
Knowing that Julian was terminally ill the couple decided to start a family and with the help of IVF Nicki fell pregnant. Despite this good news the couple faced further problems when Nicki was made redundant. With Julian unable to work and his employer offering no company sick pay the couple became behind on their bills.
When Julian tragically passed away there was no life insurance, just debts. Seven days after Julian’s funeral Nicki miscarried.
Despite her unbearable heartache Nicki found a job at her local college although the funding for this post has since been cut and she again faces redundancy. With bills mounting and consumed with grief and anxiety Nicki sought our help. HA was able to assist with the funeral costs so Nicki could have at least one less worry.
