INQUEST is a charity providing a free specialist, comprehensive advice service on the inquest system for bereaved people, lawyers, advice and support agencies, the media, parliamentarians and the wider public. It is the only charity of its kind offering this service to families seeking answers about how and why their relative died, particularly those who died in state custody. We offer both telephone advice for anyone facing an inquest, and complex case support including finding good quality legal representation, assistance with applications for funding, help with dealing with the media, and supporting families to navigate the complex inquest process including accompanying them to inquests.
