We have used donations and legacies to fund the following: - Build a gym for mental health inpatients (£11,644) - Install new drug cabinets in the Stroke Unit (£7,000) - Purchase a parasol for the chemotherapy garden (£372) -Provide specialist beds for elderly patients (£7,500) - Make Christmas brighter for patients (£1,368) - Purchase chairs for the new ‘quiet room’ in Meadowbrook (£2,300) - Engrave glass windows for the Diabetes Centre (£708) - Purchase specialist Oximetry pumps for the Childrens ward (£3,500) - Provide specialist armchairs for the Rehabilitation Unit (£900) - Send nursing and medical staff on additional courses (£30,000) - Enable breast care patients to benefit from complementary therapies (£2,500) - Sponsor a staff award (£950) - And donations to the Barely Born Appeal (www.barelyborn.co.uk) have enabled £165,000 to be used for extra equipment and facilities in the new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
