Margaret & Dr Amsler in our In-Patient Garden - Margaret sadly died at home in September

When Margaret (67) was discharged by her oncologist, he told her there was nothing more he could do.

“I visited my GP in turmoil. They referred me to Isabel Hospice and I can’t tell you what a difference this has made. The Hospice's Community Palliative Care Consultant arranged for me to have a procedure at home, that I was having at Hospital. This enabled me to drain the fluid (between 5-7 litres) that was building up myself. Up until then, I was visiting the hospital every few days.

Now my life is completely different and I feel so much happier. Isabel Hospice has given me my quality of life back.

I know I won’t get better. Who knows what the future brings but without the support and care of the Hospice I know life would be far worse."
