Why your donation matters

Miscarriage can be a very unhappy, frightening and lonely experience. The Miscarriage Association makes a real difference by providing support and information when it's most needed. For example:

Our helpline: "It was like having a very calm, controlled and trusting friend in the room with me, who knew instinctively where all the raw edges were."

Our leaflets: "The one thing I really wanted was to read about the kind of physical things to expect. This leaflet is great – concise but sensitive and informative."

Our website: "The support forum helped me through some of the darkest days I have ever known."

Our training: "It made me think about the way I communicate with patients and the emotional side of miscarriage."

Please donate now and help us to help people through.

Case study: donations in action

Angie: Since I first heard those words ‘I’m sorry, there’s no heartbeat’, I’ve been trying to get my head around things. Hospital staff just said ‘these things happen’ but that isn’t nearly enough when your world is suddenly shattered by the loss of your baby. I spent many sleepless nights searching the internet for answers and always found myself back at the Miscarriage Association. They are the only organisation that cares enough to explain the medical information fully and clearly. And they understand the importance of discussing how I might be feeling emotionally too. The future is scary when your plans to start a family go wrong. I have lost all three of my babies and I’m so grateful to all the M.A. staff & volunteers for their on-going help through leaflets, phone calls, the support forum and even Facebook. I was proud to raise funds for them by doing a 10k run. I’m no athlete and it was tough, but worth it to help them to be there for the next unsuspecting girl like me.
