About the charity

Peace Brigades International (PBI) protects human rights in areas of conflict around the world. Our teams of international volunteers provide unarmed protection to individuals and groups who are under threat because of the work they are doing for social justice, peace and equality. Backed by an international network of support, PBI is able to deter violence against them. PBI provides support to human rights defenders in Colombia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Mexico, and Nepal. PBI has established the Human Rights Defenders at Risk Fund, which will benefit courageous individuals struggling to establish respect for human rights.
