The Amigo cycling club was set up 4 years ago to raise money for charity. To date through various events and cycles we have helped raise over £75k for local causes. Past charities include, Special Care Bay Unit at Singleton, Cariad Defibrillators, Maggies Cancer Centre, Active for Autism and Ty Olwen Hospice.
The Amigo Cycling Club in association with Team Ben are teaming up to raise funds for Latch and Noah’sArk.
12 year old Ben Cooper from Swiss Valley was diagnosed with Cancer last year. Whilst undertaking treatment at the Heath hospital in Cardiff, Latch and Noah’s Ark provided support to the family. This was mainly in the form of accommodation and emotional support to ease the burden of the treatment and the costs incurred in travelling and staying in Cardiff.
To this end we have various fundraising events planned and as such we are looking for raffle prizes, donations and sponsorship.
The culmination of our fundraising year is a cycle from Barcelona to Llanelli in October 2018. 1100 miles in 9 days.
