Chris, Peter C, Paddy, Peter N and Kevan are donning their trainers and donating their time and efforts to running the 26 miles through London for the HMS Alliance Appeal. Ranging in age from mid-20's to mid-60's, all five are either past submariners, present submariners or have close connections to the submarine service, making them passionate about the plight of HMS Alliance.
Launched in 1947, HMS Alliance is the memorial to the courageous men who fought in similar boats for the freedom we enjoy today. She is currently suffering corrosion and decay, and although a £7 million project is under way to save her, more money must be raised to safegaurd her future.
