What with the silly name, the ridiculous work wear of key team members and our complete lack of any boating experience, it seemed entirely obvious for team Bigballs to enter this year's 21 mile 'Great River Race'.
Blessed with a sense of glorious naievity, we signed up to the September 15th event on the Thames, flushed with national pride, the sweet taste of Olympic glory and no real understanding of just how delicate our luxuriously moisturised film-making hands were.
We'll be competing against 300 other teams and we're looking at three hours of back breaking, blister bursting, rollock rubbing pain, a fact mediated slightly by the almost limitless opportunity the union of Bigballs and rowing offers for truely hilarious double entendres.
So why are we doing it? Well for a few reasons really...
First (and chiefly) we'd love to raise some money for a great cause whose great work has touched Bigballs... Macmillan Cancer Support.
One in three of us will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in our lives, and Macmillan do a brilliant job of supporting both patients and their family and friends.
We've set our team fundraising target at a gargantuan £10,000 and your donation can really help us smash this goal.
What's even better, is that we'll be rewarding donations with genuine exclusive, never seen before river activity.

Oh and since we're a film company, we'll ensure every (major) commitment is fulfilled with videographic proof.
