We at FTSE arranged an event in Bexley Village for Red Nose Day 2011. This was part of our work experience with Local2Us - a website which is dedicated to bringing back life into small high streets. It was a great experience with our bosses allowing us to work as a team with only a little but of guidamce or advice as and when we needed it. After two weeks of extensive planning, we had everything finally in place on the 17th March. Unfortunately, we were subject to much disappointment from the weather; however our contingency plan stepped into place. Thankfully we had arranged a place to set up our event with owners who were more than happy with us playing live music - and even participated in the varied events we had arranged.
Every single member of our team worked above and beyond the call of duty to make our event a success. Our events are currently ongoing, now run online via our social media projects. All the prizes that are up for grabs were donated in to us by traders in Bexley, for Local2US. Even with the weather that threatened to trip us up, we had a great day with the event and we have managed to raise lots of money. All the pictures seen on here were from our event on the 18tgh March, though we look forward to planning more events and expanding our experience of event planning in other areas. Watch this space!
