Hammersmith & Fulham RFC Veterans have been honoured by the Irish International Veterans, to be asked to play in the charity warm up match before the England vs. Ireland Legends International, at the Donnybrook Stadium in Dublin on the 9th February 2013.
The Legends match and our curtain raiser are being played in memory of Stuart Mangan, who suffered a spinal injury while playing rugby for Hammersmith and Fulham in 2008 and who tragically passed away the following year.
His death greatly affected the club and the aim of the match is to raise as much money as possible in Stuart’s memory, for the RFU Injured Players Charity and the IRFU Charitable Trust, that both do so much good work in looking
after seriously injured players.
The 40 Vets who are making the trip to Dublin are funding their own tour and have collectively pledged to raise at least £10,000, but we hope with your help to raise much, much more.
Please dig deep to support these great charities and if you are in Dublin, please come and watch us and the Legends at the Donnybrook Stadium. Tickets can be bought through Ticketmaster http://www.irelandenglandlegends.com
