On the 6th August 2017 two teams of three from Hart Swimming Club will attempt to swim 33.8km, the width of the English Channel. We will attempt to complete the challenge at Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre having been dontated the lane space by Aspire Defence Services Ltd.
We plan to complete the challenge in 8 - 10 hours of continuous swimming, taking turns to swim 1km at a time, starting at the cardboard cliffs of Dover and finishing in a virtual France!
We are raising money for 2 charities working in areas important to members of the club, Cancer Research UK and Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). Though you can choose which charity to donate to, the team's choice would be for donations to be split equally.
