Thank you to the public of Jersey who generously donated £363.55 to our Paris to Jersey Cycle Challenge.
Another huge thanks to the Le Rocquier PTA who have donated £360 this week to take our total past the £12,500 mark, amazing!
A big thanks to the parents of the team cyclists who organised a pitch at the Le Rocquier Car Boot sale on Saturday 17th May. They raised £154 for our total.
A big thank you for a fantastic £5,000 donation from the trustees of the Sir James Knott Trust.
A huge thanks to all pupils, staff and parents of St Clements and Grouville Primary Schools, for holding a purple themed dress down day on Friday 21st February and raising over £600 towards our target, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
The Le Rocquier School Cycle Team consists of 10 students, aged 14 and 15 yrs, and 2 teachers, all of whom are determined to make a difference to the lives of Stroke Survivors in Jersey. Our aim is to cycle the 330 miles from Paris to Jersey in just 4 days in September 2014 and to raise the amazing total of £21,000 at the same time.! This will be an incredible personal challenge for the students, all of whom were selected after being interviewed in December and who have been regulary training before school 3 days each week since the start of the year.
Our team will need the help of many people, families, friends and work connections alike, to reach our total, but they have already displayed amazing commitment and have planned lots of activities and events to help raise the funds and succeed in their goal! We will keep you updated with progress but can I thank you in advance for any donation you give, it really will make a difference to many!
