Please take a few minutes of your time to have a look at our Just Giving Page. Our team "NHS Nurses Head Shave" is made up of a bunch of community nurses who have decided to shave off our hair for charity. The 3 charities are Hospiscare, Cancer Research UK and Alpha 1 Awareness UK.
Each and every one of us knows someone in our lives who have either lost their lives, are currently affected, suffering or dying due to cancer. We work very closely with the Hospiscare nurses in our area and they are without doubt an essential, invaluable and massive part of the jigsaw for patients and their loved ones in treating and supporting guiding and advising, often an advocate, with their expertise, wealth of knowledge and compassion on each individuals journey.
Alpha 1 Awareness UK is a charity for sufferers of Alpha1 Antitrypsin Deficiency which is a rare genetic deficiency resulting in lung and liver disease. My husband is a sufferer which has robbed him of his ability to breathe normally and disabled him to a shadow of his former self. He is awaiting double lung transplant.
Please help us raise as much money as possible for these amazing charities by supporting us in our team headshave and allowing further research into treatment, cures and continued expert knowledge, education and support for all those sufferers out there present, and past, for whom it is just too late.
