Thanks for visiting Richard's fundraising page. After Richard had a crash on his mountain bike on 29th Dec 2011 he was quickly helped by the Air Ambulance paramedics who were first on the scene in their helicopter, then the Edale Mountain Rescue Team who provided additional resources to allow everyone to help Richard in the vital early time after the incident.
The page is set to allow donations to the two voluntary organisations that helped Richard the most after his bike crash - the Air Ambulance and the Mountain Rescue Team. Both organisations get no central funding and rely on donations but arrived quickly and gave Richard the help that we all hope will allow him to recover from this accident.
You can choose which organisation to support, but having been there on the day I think an even split would be fair.
I have had to use the JustGiving 'team' site to split donations between the two charities. This may look a bit odd but the 'team' is limited to the two fundraising efforts on behalf of Richard
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 28%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
