The Alsop Team is made up of:
Barry Williams, Paul O Kane, Joe Mangan, Orlagh Mcnally, Steven Ryan Jessop, Eddie Firth, John Bentham, Terry Laing, Suzanne Scott, Anne Marie Berington, Kirsty Busby, Brendan Morris, Paul Cousineau, Katie Bushell and James Thompson. We will be driven between the mountains by the amazing Claire Dowling! (We are also hoping she will make us cups of tea for when we get down off each mountain)
We are going to attempt the Three Peaks Challenge which involves climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in one big weekend and one very hectic 24 hours!
We will begin at the base of Ben Nevis on Saturday 28th of June and look to have climbed all 3 by the early hours of Sunday the 29th!
For many people on the challenge this is their first experience of climbing mountains and we are just hoping that we havent bitten off more than we can chew!
A typical group of teachers who are always up for a challenge we are going to give this our best shot!
We are hoping to raise money for some great charities including the MS Society, Marie Curie, MacMillin Nurses and the Woodlands Hospice.
