We've joined together to raise money for Brighton YMCA.
Each runner raises money jointly for the following two areas:
Arts Exhibition at Brighton Festival Fringe 2014: Part of the money will go towards securing participation for Brighton YMCA in Brighton Festival 2014. In 2014 George Williams Centre will hold an Art Exhibition within the Brighton Festival Fringe. This will enable George Williams Centre clients to exhibit their own art work within a major art festival.
New computer suite at William Collier House: Another part of the money will go towards funding a new computer suite at William Collier House. The project have too few and out of date computers. They need computers for the lounge,which will be used by clients to apply for benefits (online only from October), search for volunteering positions, work and courses and keep in touch with family members. They also need computers for keyworking. By cutting down on paperwork, this will free time for staff to interact with clients. Keyworking sessions will become more effective, as access to a computer will allow for instant searches for resources and faster reactions to queries from clients.
