We’re raising money for the life-changing and life-saving cancer research at the University of Warwick.
To help raise money for this fantastic work, six of us in Warwick’s development team are putting on our running shoes and stepping up to the Two Castles 10k (6.2 mile) challenge.
By sponsoring our team, you gift will go directly to Cancer at Warwick – helping to fund research into detection, causes and reducing the side effects of treatment. Your gift will help research that has real practical applications due to the strong links between Warwick Medical School and the local hospitals, having an impact on cancer nationwide.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, we are also able to focus our some of research on areas that would not be supported through funds from government and some of the larger cancer charities.
Main areas of research:
· Cell biology and causes of cancer
· Side effects of treatment
· Head and neck cancer
· Ovarian cancer
· Breast cancer
Our run begins at Warwick Castle up to Kenilworth Castle with quite a few hills in between. You may see us out training on campus, if you do, please give us some support.
