Cavendish Maine is a recruitment business based in Bristol, we were founded in 1991. Most of our employees have worked with us for around 10 years - we all go back a long way and are very much a family focused business.

In December 2014 one of our founding members and dear friend Stuart was diagnosed with cancer, at that point we were keen to show our support for him as he embarked on his treatment and as a company we all wanted to make individual contributions to help in some way. We decided that one of the best ways to do this was to take part in events like the Iron Man 70.3 Staffordshire Relay (14th June) and the Adrenaline Rush (Blaise Castle -15 August) to show our support, raise awareness and donate our sponsorship funds to MacMillan.

Tragically Stuart lost his battle with cancer on the 16th of March this year, we were shocked and saddened and miss him dearly. So now, we are using this event not only to raise money for such an important charity but also to honour the memory of our friend and colleague. Stuart spoke very highly of the support he received from his MacMillan nurse and fully supported this charity. He’d hoped to be able to cheer us over the finish line.

Almost one in two people will get cancer at some point in their lives and by 2030 the number of people living with cancer in the UK will nearly have doubled. The good news is more and more people are surviving cancer (approx 1 million more per decade).  By donating money to this Just Giving page you will help fund research that will one day help beat all cancers.

Thank you, from everyone at Cavendish Maine.
