Thanks for visiting our Docmail team fundraising page. We've joined together and decided to sponsor the Bath Half Marathon for one of the key charities RUH Spare for Cancer Care charity, with Forever Friends Ted's Team.
The docmail team are running the Half Marathon to support phase one of this fantastic Campaign which is raising £650,000 for a new Gamma-CT Scanner, This important piece of diagnostic equipment is able to combine two different types of imaging allowing doctors to identify even the earliest abnormality and accurately pinpoint its location for subsequent radiotherapy treatment. An equally exciting but larger Phase Two, is aimed at building a new Cancer Services Centre at the RUH and will be launched in 2012.
Cancer affects one in three people in the UK and has also sadly affected several of our staff and their families at CFH Docmail.
