Julians Rovers - The CJD Marathon Walk Team 2013

Team photo

Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.

Paul Davis and Kevin Mackenzie are both members of London Gas, the Bristol Rovers supporters group in London and are walking the London Marathon Route to raise money for research into the rare and fatal brain disease CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease). There is currently no cure for this disease.

We'll be undertaking the walk on Saturday 27th July 2013, walking from Greenwich Park to The Mall along the 2013 Virgin London Marathon route.

We're raising the money in memory of Julian Bailey who died of the disease in 2010. Besides being a teacher, musician and also a Bristol Rovers supporter of 50 years, Julian was a marathon runner. Steve Forbes, a good friend of Julian's and Bristol Rovers Director, Ken Masters will be joining Paul and Kevin for the walk and help raise more funds.

It seemed appropriate to raise money for CJD research by walking the London marathon course, so please give generously.
