David Bocking, a good friend of mine and husband of my close friend Louise Heathcote (now Bocking obviously!) was involved in a life threatening motorbike accident in 1996. As David was approaching a bend on his motorcycle, a speeding car was on it's way into a ditch...David was in the crashing cars path and the car hit him. His leg took the full impact of the car and he was sent into the ditch some 85ft away. MAGPAS are the reason David has a life and 2 beautiful twin daughters Lauren and Oilvia.MAGPAS gave him emergency roadside assistance and the work they did on him saved his life and undoubtedly his leg. Surgeons were able to save his leg and spent the next two and a half years rebuilding it. He now walks completely unaided.
Myself and Louise are cycling 600kms from Huntingdon to Edinburgh with David joining us for the last 100 kms to raise £10,000 (or more!) for MAGPAS, the volunteer medical service that saved David's life back in 1996.
