Sent forth to defend the realm, a team of Royal Air Force Engineers arrived in the Falkland Islands to complete a 6 month tour of duty. Siezing the oportunity to do their bit for good causes they looked around for a decent challenge.
"Those army types seem to enjoy this thing called 'tabbing' chaps shall we give it a go?"
Once we'd realised that to the Army this didn't mean smoking behind the block but marching at pace with a pack on your back we were set.
We'll be 'tabbing' (tactically advancing to battle) over a distance of 37 miles. Starting at Mount Pleasant Compound and finishing at Port Stanley. This will be a punishing challenge as we'll be up against the rugged, mountainous terrain and fickle Falkland Islands weather.
We've joined together to raise money for charity. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails.
