Piracy and extremism is an ever present problem that continues to affect international trade, shipping, the lives of seafarers and the people in East Africa.
Mission Safe Ocean want to support Mission to Seafarers and the 1,3 million seafarers, who put their lives at risk passing through dangerous areas carrying goods that we all depend on. Mission Safe Ocean also wants to support Adeso, who is implementing coastal development projects in East Africa/Somalia that address the root causes of piracy and seeks to reduce the appeal of piracy and extremism. These efforts do not only benefit East Africa/Somalia, but they also stimulate a safer ocean for the benefit of international trade, shipping and seafarers.
Mission Safe Ocean is intended to be a wave redeeming the ocean for life and livelihood and is intended to be a contribution to a safer ocean for the benefit of East Africa, International trade and seafarers.
