We have joined forces to achieve the £8000 for the renovation of Ladywell Tower, a grade ll listed building.
To reach this target Kay Kelleher of Volunteer Centre Lewisham will be riding 500km over 8 days, across 8 cities, from Vietnam to Cambodia in October 2012.
The entire project is estimated to cost £6million, much of which will be raised through grants. However each of the 4 organistions in the partnership will need to raise their own funds towards the work.
At the end of the project this beautiful, historic building will be a community resource with services for young people, volunteers, disabled people and community organisations. We hope to have a community cafe and venue hire available for the public and an opportunity for people to see the history of the building and surrounding area.
We want this building to go back to benefiting the community.
