Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
We've joined together to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, by joining their Marsden March. The Marsden March is a 14 mile walk between their hospital in Chelsea and their hospital in Sutton, which we hope to complete in approximately four hours. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us achieve or even smash this goal.
Louise's story:
In 2010 my mum was diagnosed with cancer. Most of her treatment involved radiotherapy at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton. Whenever I went to the hospital with her I was impressed by how warm all the staff were and how at ease they made my mum feel, considering she was obviously very frightened, and I was generally impressed with the environment. Thankfully my mum has now been in remission for a year and doing this walk is my small way of giving something back, so that others can benefit.
Anneke's story:
When Louise mentioned she was doing this walk I immediately decided to support her by joining her for the hike. I have various family members that have been affected by this illness and I will continue to support the wonderful work cancer organisations around the world are doing. Apart from that those that know me know I love a good hike!
