'the Marathon Des Sables and Me'

#100% of donations go to charity#

This is my declaration to every donor who supports me in my challenge...I will do everything I humanly can to get to the end of "the toughest footrace on Earth" - the Marathon Des Sables. I can't promise I will finish. Some of the best ultra-runners in the world have become victim to one of many factors associated with running an ultra-marathon in the Desert. But I promise you this - I will keep going. I will keep putting one foot in front of the other until I'm face down in soft Saharan sand or I'm hobbling over the stage finish line. I will put in such an effort that I can walk off that course will my head held high, whatever the outcome.

This means my training will be long, arduous and testing; both mentally and physically. The British Winters are not the Saharan Summers. But I know this and my thoughts and efforts will be squarely focused at putting myself on the start line and saying - "I am ready"!

Your help and support over the coming months will help motivate me in my own personal challenge. It will also help two great charities - The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation; which helps young people achieve truly amazing things and Prostate Cancer UK; which has tasked itself with defeating one of the biggest killers in men. The survival rate of this cancer is alarming and Prostate Cancer UK deserve gratitude for taking on the fight on behalf of all males worldwide!

Please click on either charity below to find out more information and to pledge a small donation to help their work continue.

THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!

Matt Everett
